Four fashion victims and four wardrobe winners on the red carpet of this year’s Cannes Film Festival where you may be judged euro-chic or euro-trash! Who wore it best and who joined the the list of the worst.

This look is passe, the body baring, barely there gowns of Gaga, Beyonce and Kim Kardashian are so over and out.

Laeticia Casta in Dior looks like a reject from Sesame Street. Fit to be tarred and feathered. Looks heavy with a humpback. Also, why black shoes?

At age 70, this Elie Saab number is certainly not age-appropriate. Too trying hard and the color of raw meat makes this ouch-fit look like bloody murder.

A Chanel number that couldn’t decide on the skirt length of this Karl Lagerfeld design. Poor Kendall Jenner, her feet look so big. Do not try this at home or in public!

Simply beautiful. Summer by the shore at Cannes, this resort halter sheath designed and worn by Ines dela Fressange for a 50-year-old is empowering and so chic!

This mermaid dress by Paris couturier Stephane Polland has balance and proportion. It is sexy yet elegant, balance is the key to traverse a red carpet. This is fresh and modern.

A glorious Armani Prive made-to-measure confection of baby blue tulle with a smattering of beadwork and embroidery. Nicole Kidman conquered Cannes although her biopic of Grace Kelly was an epic fail for the critics.

Maroon jersey with a new neckline and a show of high thigh looks comfortable yet stunning. Blake Lively in Gucci rocked the red carpet on opening night of Cannes 2014.
