How many trips did you take in 2024? Were you able to use your well-deserved vacation leave? We all have our dream travel destinations, and if you’re already planning for next year’s trips, here are some of our favorite destinations of 2024:
@engrrueinfinds Akala ko hype lang yung Siquijor totoo pala talagang maganda dito #siquijor #siquijorisland #philippinestravel #traveltok ♬ original sound – Veranice
Siquijor may have a reputation for black magic and witchcraft, but one thing’s for sure: you’ll be the one who will go home feeling enchanted by its numerous breathtaking natural attractions. Getting there starts with a flight to Dumaguete, which you can explore for a few days before heading to the enchanting island. Crystal-clear blue waters will greet you once you arrive at the port. From beach bumming at Paliton Beach to feeling like SZA when you take photos at Pitogo Cliff, you’ll slowly be charmed by the beauty of Siquijor.
@iamjassmine_ This is Mindanao #philippines #bukidnon #fyp ♬ Tingin Live at The Cozy Cove – Nine Degrees North
Take this as a sign to start exploring Mindanao because there’s just so much to see on the second-largest main island in the country. The province is perfect for every type of traveler: you can go DND at the highlands or try the most thrilling rides at Dahilayan Adventure Park. While there are no direct flights going to Bukidnon yet, the easiest route to go is to fly directly to Cagayan De Oro and take a land trip from there.

This is your sign to go to Balabac

Palawan is an award-winning Philippine destination that has captured the hearts of both locals and foreigners. From the Underground River of Puerto Princesa to the breathtaking limestone cliffs of Coron and El Nido, the province is packed with tropical paradises you’d want to keep coming back to. And if you want to head to areas with less crowd, find yourself beach bumming along the country’s longest beach at San Vicente or roughing it out on the shores of Balabac.
@nenenggalaph Siargao will surely not disappoint you. Save this for later! #Siargao #SiargaoIsland #LoveThePhilippines ♬ Do Wah Diddy Diddy – The Surphonics
Remember when it felt like everyone was heading to Siargao and embracing the island life during the pandemic? The island continues to charm all its visitors: nightlife, world-class waves, and beaches – it’s a vacationer’s paradise. Getting around the island is relatively easy, too, as you only need a motorbike, and you’re good to go.
Even if you’re just a beginner, make sure to experience surfing in Siargao! After all, it’s the Surfing Capital of the Philippines – the adventure will not be complete without riding its waves.
@_mitsaela Capturing the essence of Hong Kong #hongkong #discoverhongkong #hongkongtiktok #hongkong90s #vacation #travel #fyp ♬ next station HK – kurisuchan012
ICYMI, Hong Kong just recently had its 1,000,000th Pinoy visitor, which shows how it remains an ideal travel destination for us, especially for families. The country has so much to offer for every type of traveler, from theme parks and shopping malls to night markets and restaurants, that will make you stop counting calories (they’re worth it!). Getting around Hong Kong is easy, too, with its convenient and reliable train system, which will allow you to explore multiple destinations in one day.
@windowseat.ph What we would do to have legit Vietnamese coffee again #coffee #coffeeaddict #travel #vietnam #windowseatph #yourwindowseattotheworld #fyp ♬ Never Beaten – Nora Gallo
Culture, food, and affordability – Vietnam is the Southeast Asian country you’d want to keep coming back to. There’s so much to explore around the country: the bustling city of Ho Chi Minh in the south, the sunny beaches of Da Nang in the center, and Hanoi’s rich culture in the north. And if you love coffee, prepare your tummy (and bring your anti-acids) because without knowing it, you’re already visiting at least three cafes a day.
This is your sign to make your K-pop and K-drama pilgrimage dreams finally happen because you deserve it. But if you’re not a Hallyu fan, South Korea is still a country worth visiting, especially with its café culture, history, food, and shopping options that will inspire you for days. Dress up in a hanbok and explore Gyeongbokgyung Palace for free, satisfy your palate at Gwangjang Market, shop for skincare at Myeongdong, or take a train to Busan (sans the zombies) and explore the coastal city.
A trip to South Korea would require you to apply for a visa, but Jeju Island remains visa-free for Filipinos, in case you didn’t know.
@visit Take in the majestic splendor of Mount Fuji from the scenic drive into town. ️ Mount Fuji is an active volcano but hasn’t erupted since 1707, making it one of the most studied volcanoes in the world. @mainichifujisan #mtfuji #japan #volcano ♬ original sound – Visit
Whichever season you visit Japan, you know you just won’t get enough of it. Millions of tourists visit every month, to the point where specific destinations have to be controlled to avoid disturbing locals. There’s been a matcha shortage recently, too! And we understand why it’s well-beloved. From cultural experiences and amazing eats to theme parks that awaken your inner child, there will always be a spot worth experiencing and exploring.
