Time flies. And I mean fast, so much so that Throwback Thursdays are now part of Throwback Thursdays. With the changing times, it’s harder to make lasting impressions and memories, so at least with the important people in our lives, we must exert more effort to make an impression. I’ll let you in on a little gift-giving hack… give what you will be happy receiving. And then personalize it. Simple, right?
This is the perfect gift for those who’ve just entered tito or titahood and moved in to their own place to live. Plants instantly give a different feel to a space and there’s a different sense of fulfillment to see them grow and live under your care. Be extra and place them in cute pots that match their homes’ color motifs.
If you haven’t noticed, old-school stuff have been on the rise recently like vinyl, turntables and yes, film cameras. I guess we all have a penchant for old stuff. After all, nostalgia is generally a wonderful feeling. A disposable camera is something that I’d use to document special occasions and trips or even just to start a new hobby. Trust me, there’s joy in waiting to see your stills on actual photographs and still be able to scan them for posting online. You get the best of both worlds. This one’s surely a winner!
I would presume all of you who have experienced travelling in economy would agree that the most challenging part, which could very well be your least favorite too, is the plane ride. Need I say more? Well, this is the answer, look it up! Receiving the gift of sleep, especially for titos and titas, is definitely a wonderful thing.
Self-care, whether you’re self-partnered or not, is a concept that I would recommend you take seriously. I’ve just turned 40, and while my spirit still feels like I’ve just sprung out of college, my body feels otherwise. I’ve recently tried practicing yoga and it’s the best decision I’ve made for myself. Yoga is not just for the bendy, it’s for everybody. Do your mind and body a favor and get into your own practice soon. Namaste!
I was never a believer of skincare until I entered my late 30s. Cleanse, tone and moisturize, what?! But just as people change, so does our skin. Now, skincare has become a part of my nightly routine because I think the best compliment is when people say you don’t look your age and actually look younger.
Can you believe how unpredictable the weather in Manila has become? Like literally, it’s been rainy and then sunny, or rainy and sunny at the same time, almost every day for the past couple of months. Climate change is real. On a positive note, it’s comforting that people have become more involved and serious in doing their part for the planet by limiting their carbon footprints. Help your friends out and save the environment while you’re at it. Well, I think that sounds like plan!
Whoever said that sleep is for the weak must have not experienced an honest-to-goodness good night’s sleep. It takes preparation and conditioning. And this includes sleeping in comfortable clothes. Take it a notch higher by slipping into those cute jammies and bring your woke-up-like-this fantasies to life. Sweet dreams!
If your friends don’t like nice-smelling homes, then maybe it’s time to find new friends. There’s nothing like listening to the flickering of burning candle and the waft of lavender or mahogany teak wood (my personal favorites) after a long and hard day’s work. Recharging!
