“Ten years before its time, a fashion is indecent; ten years after, it is hideous; but a century after, it is romantic.” And a year after? Just dowdy. So goes the law of fashion historian James Laver. And in some ways he must be right, if all the Sadnesses of 2015 opted for a different look this year, you know it’s because it simply wasn’t in style anymore yet too soon to be considered vintage.

Have we seen Stranger Things than a fully grown man, hairy legs and all, in a short pink Sunday dress and blonde wig? At this point, most likely yes. Who would’ve thought that Winona Ryder’s comeback with a cast of newcomers would gain such popularity? It seems that Netflix is winning the game with Halloween-worthy costumes this year and, naturally, big blockbuster films won’t be left behind.
