Violence is common in most rallies, but the protest in the U.S. Embassy last October was the most violent we’d seen yet in recent times. A police van barreled into the crowd, running over some protesters and injuring most of them. The police said they were “provoked,” as some of them were physically harmed by the protesters. Is this maximum tolerance? If it is we have every reason to be scared.
The war in Syria has been going on for years, but this year saw it got much worse: there has been a widespread massacre of the innocents. This war between the rebels and the government forces saw several casualties of war as innocent families and children were trapped in the city of Aleppo. There was a ceasefire deal just weeks ago, but most of the damage has already been done and no one can bring back all those innocent souls caught in the crossfire.

Killing people is horrifying in itself, what more if they are innocent? The past months have been hell for families who lost their loved ones to the Drug War, and more Filipinos are already scared for their lives. The War on Drugs has killed a total of 5,882 as of December 13, 2016–3,841 of which were killed by unknown gunmen. This mounting toll has become quite alarming for the United Nations, that they want Duterte to be investigated.
