Why was it when we were trudging through January it felt like a lifetime, but 4 weeks of April flew by in the blink of an eye? Take a break from your work and your binge-watching and look at the weirdest posts we’ve dug up from our news feeds this week:

The quarantine will bring a second renaissance, they said. pic.twitter.com/1vEKLBXh73

They say people would resort to the arts if this quarantine gets any further and I guess they’re right… only they didn’t specify what kind of arts the masses will dabble in. TikTok is definitely hailed as the official quarantine app.

If you don’t understand old people humor, you need a doctor.
Before we knew of K-pop groups, we were all SexBomb Girls stans, the OG all-girl sing and dance group. At the height of their fame, they also became actresses with their own teleserye Daisy Siete which ran for 7 years with 26 seasons. The former members aren’t active anymore so we all owe Rochelle Pangilinan a huge thanks for gathering the girls in a Zoom reunion. Maybe their signature chant “Get, get, awww!” can cure the virus.
Even chickens idolize them.

If we can’t get to the great outdoors, we’ll have to bring the great outdoors to us.
Yup, you read that right. Ivory Coast is a country located on the south coast of West Africa. Sanwi is an independent kingdom in Ivory Coast and their king, King Amon N’Douffou V, held a special exorcism to protect his people, some three million of them, from the coronavirus pandemic. With more than 1,000 affected by the virus, the government has resorted to traditional measures.
Aside from other rituals, the king ordered the women to perform a ritual called ‘adjalou’ where naked women go on a procession through the village. The women then erect barricades at village entrances to “prevent bad spirits from entering and claiming lives.”
You’ve heard of Covid Bryant and Covid Rose (and possibly even the rumored Covidubidapdap), but unfortunately, we haven’t seen the last of the pandemic babies. Covid Marie‘s parents said she was named after the virus because her parents wanted to remember that it did not only bring suffering, it also brought with it a blessing a.k.a. the baby. We’re just not quite sure if the name will still be cute when Covid Marie turns 18.
PSA to all parents out there, maybe it’s time you lay off with the pandemic-related names.
There has been a fair share of embarrassing stories involving online conferences being passed around on the internet (there’s even one on Mayor Vico Sotto), but this one has a shocking twist. Alfonso Merlos was being interviewed for the YouTube show State of Alarm when a woman, identified as Spanish TV show Socialité reporter Alexia Rivas, walked past the frame in the background, semi-naked. The plot twist? She isn’t his girlfriend.
Reports say Merlos is currently going through a painful breakup with his girlfriend Marta Lopez. Although he claims they have been separated for quite some time now.
Lisa from popular K-pop group BlackPink recently released a dance performance film where she was shown busting out A-grade dancing moves to QUIN and 6Lack’s Mushroom Chocolate. The performance was so phenomenal, her booty shorts and thigh-high black boots became quite the meme on Twitter.

Yes, Lisa’s legs are so powerful they can get famous on their own. It can probably promote itself and BlackPink.
What’s the weirdest thing you’ve seen all week?
Kyzia spends most of her time capturing the world around her through photos, paragraphs, and playlists. She is constantly on the hunt for the perfect chocolate chip cookie, and a great paperback thriller to pair with it.
