Nearly a month after their pre-debut single was first released, BINI’s version of “Da Coconut Nut” is still stuck in our heads. The girl group from Star Hunt Academy (SHA) is set to officially debut next year, but while we’re waiting for that, let’s get to know the members of our latest P-Pop girl group BINI PH.

Aiah

At 19, Aiah is the oldest member of the group, but she’s actually the bunso of a family of four. Her stage name is a shortened version of her name Maraiah Queen Arceta. She likes swimming and drawing, and she enjoyed dancing the most during her trainee days with SHA. Aiah hails from Cebu, which she also represented in national pageants like the Ms. Silka Philippines 2018. Before joining SHA, she used to model under Origin Management.

Colet

18-year-old Colet is the only other ‘01 liner in the group. She likes singing, dancing, and reading books to pass the time. During her trainee days, she enjoyed her singing class the most. Colet knows how to play the guitar and occasionally shares a few covers on her Instagram. She also dabbles in songwriting, so we should watch out for a Colet-original in BINI’s next releases!

Maloi

Maloi’s stage name is a combination of her birth name Mary Loi Ricalde, and she is the only one in the group born in 2002 (she’s 18). Her hair has gone through a lot of colors from a nice soft brown to ombre pink or purple to fully bleached blonde. In her spare time, she enjoys watching Korean dramas, and she’s also a K-pop stan (she’s concerts of K-pop groups like Twice and EXO in Manila). Maloi also knows how to play the guitar and ukulele. And like Colet, Maloi also has interests in song composition, so we’ve really got to watch out for some originals soon.

Gwen

17-year-old Gwen comes from Daraga, Albay, with four older brothers watching over her. Before joining SHA, she won 1st runner up in Mr. & Ms. Pacific Teen Heartthrob in 2019 and also became a housemate in Pinoy Big Brother during the Otso Batch 3 season. It was after her appearance in PBB that she was recruited by SHA as a trainee due to her impressive singing skills. In her spare time, she likes experimenting with different make-up styles, many of which fans can find on her Instagram page.

Stacey

Stacey likes to do ramp modeling and recreating the looks of her idols like Ariana Grande and BLACKPINK’s Jennie. This 17-year-old cutie loves working out, and even encourages her followers to exercise. She enjoyed dancing the most out of her classes in SHA, and she occasionally posts dance covers on her socials from artists ranging from ITZY to BLACKPINK’s Lisa. She also loves attending concerts of her K-Pop idols like EXO and BLACKPINK.

Mikha

The last ‘03 liner in the group, 16-year-old Mikha likes to play card games or watch Korean dramas to pass the time. She’s also quite sporty; she used to be part of a cheerdance group for two years, which gives her the flexibility and coordination that lets her to do splits and tumbles easily. During her days as a trainee in SHA, she enjoyed her singing classes the most.

Jhoanna

One of two ‘04 liners in the group, 16-year-old Jhoanna is an only child, who was always a consistent honor student on top of being part of her school’s student council. She briefly appeared in ABS-CBN’s Kadenang Ginto. She also knows how to play the guitar and ukelele. Jhoanna also dabbles in songwriting, having posted an original she worked on with Mikki, one of five male SHA trainees.

Sheena

The bunso of BINI, 16-year-old Sheena has been dancing since she was eight years old. She was part of dance group M1T (Most OneTed Dance Group), which also joined Star Hunt Grand Audition. And like Gwen, she was also part of the Pinoy Big Brother Otso Batch 3 season and even finished top 7/8. Like some of her BINI ate’s, Sheena is also a big fan of K-Pop idols like EXO.
