Taguig City

Taguig City operates on a strict schedule when it comes to free PCR testing. The City Epidemiology and Disease Surveillance Unit (CEDSU) and Barangay Health Centers conduct the free testing from Monday to Friday.

Aside from this, there are other ways you can get swab tested in the city. Taguig has also opened drive-thru testing at BGC every Wednesday and at Lakeshore every Friday. Park ‘N Test is open every Monday at Vista Mall Parking Building. Lastly, you can wait for the Mobile Testing Truck to visit your area.

Quezon City

Community-based testing sites in Quezon City are scattered in different districts and they offer free swab testing. There are three easy steps to get a free swab test in Quezon City. First, fill out this reservation form. Second, wait for a call from the community-based testing verifier. Lastly, wait for a text message with instructions on when you can visit. The free testing is strictly by appointment so you have to make sure you call first before visiting.

This free swab testing is also limited to those who’ve had close contact with COVID-positive patients and individuals with symptoms of the virus.

Caloocan City

Caloocan Mayor Oscar Malapitan offers regular free swab testing dedicated for different barangays in the city. Residents have to bring their ID, PhilHealth ID (if available), their own pen, face mask, and face shield. If you aren’t included in the specific barangay for the day, you can still get your free swab test. The Caloocan People’s Park and Caloocan Sports Complex are open from Mondays to Fridays for free RT-PCR testing. Make sure you visit your health center first to schedule your appointment.

 

Parañaque City

Ospital ng Parañaque – District II offers free swab testing by appointment. Send their Facebook page a message and choose “Free Swab Test Registration.” You will then need to provide details such as your name, address, contact number, PhilHealth number, and purpose for the swab. Wait for a representative to contact you for your schedule. Once you get swabbed, you can expect the results in three to five days.

VP Leni Robredo’s Swab Cab project was launched in late March. It offers free antigen swab testing to detect those asymptomatic and isolate them early on. This initiative also prevents people from mass gathering in hospitals and traveling just for a swab test. As of writing, the Swab Cab has been to areas in Malabon, Marikina, Quezon City, and Imus, Cavite. You can check for updates through VP Leni’s Facebook page.

 

East Avenue Medical Center

As long as you have a PhilHealth ID, you can get a free swab test at East Avenue Medical Center’s Malasakit building. All you have to do is get to the hospital as early as 4 AM, Mondays to Fridays, and get a queuing number. Bring at least 2 valid IDs and your PhilHealth ID. You will be assessed and given a time and date for swab testing which is usually less than a week from the day you visited.

Those who don’t have their PhilHealth ID have to pay P900 for the swab test.

 

Ninoy Aquino Stadium

Ninoy Aquino Stadium at Rizal Memorial Complex in Manila offers free swab testing. To schedule an appointment, accomplish this form. You can also contact 0945 993 3154 or send an email to emsc54079@gmail.com for questions. Make sure you schedule yours since they will not be accepting walk-ins.

If you can’t get access to any of these places for free swab testing, you can refer to the Department of Health’s directory of licensed COVID-19 testing laboratories in the Philippines. It lists a mix of private and public institutions offering RT-PCR testing and cartridge-based PCR testing.
