Just when you thought you were slowly reclaiming the free life you once owned — having fun, traveling, eating outdoors — life was like, “nope”. With the increasing threat brought by the highly transmissible Delta variant in the Philippines (the DOH recorded an additional 97 cases yesterday, bringing the total to 216), Metro Manila is back to the Season 3 of Enhanced Community Quarantine. And the production for this series came unexpectedly quick after Season 2 debuted last April.
What’s going to be this season’s major plot twists and cliffhangers? Will the face shield still be able to hold its status as the most controversial and highly debated wardrobe piece this season? We don’t know. But just a few hours after ECQ Season 3 was announced, it’s safe to say that we’re all already tired of it. At least we have the memes?

Cause the dizziness you get when downing a piña colada isn’t really far from the confusion we’re all having with the continuous modifications of terms. Aren’t we done yet? Kuya, pa-bill out na po!

But let’s be real, this show should have been canceled after the pilot episode.

With the latest installment of the government’s newest suspense-thriller series brewing, some can’t help but wonder: where are we in this plot? Has the author made character developments? Are we in a flashback? Because if there’s one thing we have to point out, it’s the seeming lack of progress. Or is this the author’s sick way of getting us hooked ’til the end?
So many friendships have been destroyed because of this UNO card. But if this same card is used to flip the script and pull a mid-season shocker, how are you gonna handle it?
4 seasons in the PH:
1) Rainy
2) ECQ
3) Dry
4) GCQ— Nikee Bañares (@nikeebanares) July 30, 2021
In the Philippines, we only have two seasons: wet and dry. But now that we’ve switched so many times from ECQ to GCQ and back, it feels like we’re officially getting two more seasons. Welcome to the four-seasons club?
As the song goes, “be careful what you wish for ’cause you just might get it.”
We are now entering the “I will use the lockdown to get fit” phase of 2020 season 2.

Remember when you used to promise yourself that you’d use all the free time you have during lockdown to find a 2.0 version of yourself? Now let’s all find a mirror and take a good look at ourselves. Be honest: has anything changed? If not, now’s your chance.
Sana may ENHANCED actions din po this time

Enhanced variant calls for enhanced response. No matter what you feel about this government, we’re all in the same boat. After over a year and a half of being in this position, it’s only fitting and right to demand accountability and results. If all the sacrifices we’re doing are yielding results, following protocols for half a month shouldn’t be hard. But on the other hand, if nothing’s changing, maybe it’s time to think of another approach? Just an idea.
