ICYMI: A Recap of Head in the Clouds Day One’s Biggest Highlights

The rain couldn’t stop Pinoy music fans from having the time of their lives at Head in the Clouds Manila. Day One was a thrilling experience for attendees, despite the gloomy weather. Despite the clouds and rain, the energy and enthusiasm of the crowd at the SM Festival Grounds remained high, making for an unforgettable day of music and fun. Here are some highlights from HITC Manila Day One on December 9, 2022:

 

Up-and-coming Chinese rapper Jinxzhou kicked off the music festival with an electrifying performance that hyped up the crowd.

Chinese rapper Adawa brought her unique blend of hip-hop and trap to the Philippines, delivering a high-energy set that had the crowd dancing.

With his powerful vocals and charming stage presence, homegrown talent and Spotify favorite Zack Tabudlo had the crowd singing along to his hit songs.

Indonesian-American singer-songwriter Stephanie Poetri, who is known for her sweet vocals and catchy pop melodies, delivered a captivating performance.

Fil-Canadian duo Manila Grey brought their signature blend of hip-hop and R&B to the HITC stage, energizing the crowd.

Japanese girl group Atarashi Gakko’s unique stage presence and talent were undeniable, and their set was a standout moment of the festival.

P-pop superstars SB19 made us proud, delivering a set filled with their biggest hits and fan favorites.

Fil-Am DJ and producer Manila Killa, who is known for his unique blend of electronic dance music and pop, kept the audience moving from start to finish.

Indonesian rapper-singer Warren Hue, who performed at Coachella earlier this year, delivered a high-energy set that commanded attention from beginning to end.

Milli had fans on their feet with her electrifying performance. The Thai rapper, who made headlines as the first Thai artist to perform solo at Coachella (where she famously ate mango sticky rice on stage), gave us an energetic set that showcased her fierce flow and clever lyrics.

Japanese pop duo Yoasobi brought the heat during their set. Known for their catchy tunes and upbeat melodies, they delivered anime OST vibes and we were here for it.

Returning to the Philippines after her SM MOA Arena concert last September, Jessi brought her infectious energy to the Head in the Clouds Manila stage. She charmed the audience with her playful interactions, showing off her fun and outgoing personality. She even learned a few curse words in Filipino, which delighted the crowd and added to the festive atmosphere.

The crowd was captivated by Rich Brian’s performance, and he proved why he is one of the most promising voices in the rap game.

The rain poured as if on cue when Joji came on stage, bringing his melancholic tunes to the music festival. In between performances of his hits and new songs from his latest album Smithereens, Joji cracked jokes and interacted with the audience, showing off his impressive comedic chops.

Despite the wet conditions, Jackson Wang wowed the audience with his hit songs and impressive dance moves, giving us his all.

And that was a wrap on Day One!
