It’s 2024, and people should know by now that we’re not in a game show. Stop DMing your colleagues with just their names or a mere ‘hello.’ Give a bit more context for the sake of everyone’s sanity. Is it about yesterday’s report? An upcoming meeting? Perhaps something urgent? Quit the guessing game and get straight to the point.

We’re totally on board with being the office superheroes and helping with tasks. However, there’s a huge difference between pitching in and having an officemate hand over their entire project — as if it was assigned to us in the first place. If you can’t finish your deadlines alone, you probably need a time management 101 refresher.

Even if you come up with a solid solution to the most stressful crisis, office know-it-alls will always find a way to steer the spotlight to themselves. They exude big ~*main character*~ energy, will undermine you, or even worse — take credit for your hard work.
Being too busy is real, but when you don’t bother to reply or acknowledge any work-related emails AT ALL — that’s a problem. If this is you, it won’t hurt to spend a portion of your time responding to urgent matters or long-forgotten emails. Better late than never, right?
