The time has finally come – you’re getting a new vehicle. With an array of choices and factors to consider, making the right choice for your daily driver can be overwhelming. Geely recently launched two new energy vehicles, the EX5 and Okavango Elite, both of which are excellent options for drivers seeking efficiency and versatility. Know more about them here:
The EX5 runs on Geely’s short-blade battery and an 11-in-1 intelligent electric drive system. It charges from 30% to 80% in just 20 minutes and achieves excellent energy efficiency through IGBT optimization, which is ideal for urban driving routines.
Safety check! EX5 boasts dual 5-star ratings from Euro NCAP and ANCAP, which speaks to its global safety credentials. The CTB (cell-to-body) structure enhances structural integrity, while its ADAS suite adds real-world protection for daily commutes.
EX5 features a spacious cabin, front-row massage seats, and refined noise control (just 68.3 dB at highway speeds), which help deliver a smooth and peaceful ride for both the driver and passengers.
Inside, the EX5 is powered by the Flyme Auto cockpit—featuring a 15.4-inch touchscreen, 13.8-inch HUD, voice control (10 languages), and L2 ADAS with 360° panoramic parking and transparent chassis view.
The EX5’s signature features include flush electric door handles, a panoramic sunroof, and antibacterial interior materials. Its clean silhouette signals a more modern, wellness-minded SUV experience. As an EV, it qualifies for a green plate under the Philippine EV Incentives Act.
Geely’s first all-electric SUV in the Philippines is priced at PHP1,799,000. Those who purchase the vehicle before September 2025 can also receive a PHP 110,000 discount. Additionally, Geely will also include a complimentary Meizu smartphone. But stocks are limited, so hurry up!
The Okavango Elite is a spacious 7-seat hybrid SUV with Geely’s signature multi-role versatility. It’s the only model in its segment with seven fully independent seats, offering flexibility across family, work, and adventure uses.
With over five configurable layouts and a maximum cargo space of 2,050 liters (equivalent to 20 large suitcases), the Okavango easily adapts to changing needs—from school runs and carpooling to long-haul trips or business deliveries.
The Okavango is better than ever. It includes a refreshed exterior styling, a more refined interior, a wide-angle 360° camera system, and a high-strength steel framework for better protection. Its hybrid engine delivers both performance and efficiency, while its green plate status provides coding exemptions and mobility perks.
The Geely Okavango Elite retails at PHP 1,368,000, with a PHP 100,000 discount available when payment is made in cash. Customers can also get a PHP 5,000 service voucher for when they purchase a unit until December 31, 2025.
Together, the EX5 and Okavango Elite address two key needs on Philippine roads: electrified city driving and spacious family transportation. With Geely now operating under a direct subsidiary model, the company aims to improve responsiveness and bring global innovation closer to Filipino motorists.
Aside from being feature-rich, these vehicles are built with their target market in mind. “They’re built with insight into how Filipinos actually move. It’s about being smart, relevant, and ready for the roads we drive every day,” said Geely Motor Philippines CEO Sylva Yu during the launch event.
