Shopping is a fun activity, but all hell breaks loose when it goes out of hand—especially when it’s by impulse. Making an unplanned purchase is something we’re all guilty of at some point. We take a look at the 8 stages we all go through when the need to have something overrides all our senses.

8. Oh, this looks nice.

You spot a beautiful piece of clothing while casually strolling at boutiques, and you’re compelled to see it up close and personal.

7. Let’s see how much this is

You go check the price tag, and scoff at the steep cost.

6. Oh well, I’ll just try it on and that’s it

Sure, it’s a little expensive, but you decide to try it on anyway!

5. Goodness, this looks so good on me

You see that it really looks good on you and you can’t imagine not having it in your closet. And you think about the perfect occasion to show it off.
