It’s been more than two months since you made your “I’m gonna start living healthy” resolution, and you feel your old, unhealthy habits creeping back in. We don’t blame you, it’s hard to maintain exercise and laying off junk food! Not to mention that healthier food options are almost always more expensive.
We got your back, fam. Here are 8 things that you can change in your daily routine that can make a lot of difference!
Eating a bag of chips or popcorn while going to the movies is okay – but you know you shouldn’t do it everyday! All the salt and sugar (most junk foods contain sugar, even if you don’t think they do) give you empty calories and bilbil, so opt for healthier snacks instead like fruits with low sugar content and low-salt crackers.
Like the previous item, a burger meal with fries and the works is fine if you do it moderately. Not for every meal time, though. Challenge yourself to hit two birds with one stone by doing baon prep for the entire week one Sunday. Not only will it save you money (even fast food prices are rising these days), but you’ll have better control and knowledge of what you eat.
I know you know that those short, 5-15-minute walks to work or school are doable, but it’s just so tempting to get on the next trike or jeep that passes you.
Walking or biking is probably the easiest healthy hack you can do everyday, so get to it and record any positive changes you might be seeing or feeling in yourself after a month!
The key to sleeping at your desired time is to not take any caffeine at least 6 hours before bed, and keeping your phone out of reach. The blue light from your phone keeps your mind up according to some studies, and not getting enough sleep gives you a tendency to gain weight.
