Conspiracy theorists might have been right about the existence of extra-terrestrials all along. A recent U.S. Congress hearing on aliens and UFOs had some pretty interesting revelations (mostly stuff that theorists have suspected for decades). Retired Maj. David Grusch claims that the government has been covering up the existence of aliens and UFOs on Earth. Grusch, who is also a former Air Force intelligence officer and member of a Pentagon task force that investigated UFOs, alleged that the government is also in possession of alien tech. What on Earth is going on?

 

Are aliens and UFOs real?

Grusch testified that the government has likely been aware of these non-human activities since the 1930s. When asked how he was convinced that they were hiding the existence of UFOs (official U.S. government name is now UAP or “unidentified aerial phenomena”), Grusch said they discovered non-human biologics at crash sites. This could only mean one thing: aliens.

 

Pentagon denies the allegations

However, the Pentagon (or the U.S. Department of Defense) has denied the coverup. Defense Department spokeswoman Sue Gough said investigators have not discovered “any verifiable information to substantiate claims that any programs regarding the possession or reverse-engineering of extraterrestrial materials have existed in the past or exist currently.”

 

Let’s say aliens and UFOs are real

If the U.S. government was expecting this news to scare the whole world or even take folks by surprise, boy were they disappointed. Whether aliens are real or not, the Internet seems to have decided it truly does not care. We’ve got a lot on our plate after surviving a global pandemic: skyrocketing prices for rent and commodities, global warming, wars — you name it. If aliens are real, it might be best if they skip our planet rather than get mixed up with our problems.

Instead of being afraid of these non-human creatures, we might even welcome them and their supposed technological advancements with open arms. Tell us how to get faster internet speeds, build a better government, or even just how to get the Twitter blue bird logo back!

Brian Cox, a professor of particle physics at the University of Manchester in the U.K., even said that aliens coming to Earth would be great. “It would take a bit of the pressure off our civilization if we weren’t the only means within the Milky Way by which the Universe understands itself,” he said.
