While she stayed mum on the issue while it was raging on, she did briefly address what was happening in a few interviews. In an interview, she said that those are the opinions of the people bashing her. “Hindi ako nagsasalita kasi, parang ano ang sasabihin ko, e iyon ang opinyon [nila] sa sarili ko?”

But she later added that her weight isn’t a measure of who she is as a person. “Totoo naman, mataba naman talaga ako. Pero di naman masusukat no’n kung sino ako.”

Angel remains humble
