Angelica Panganiban Shuts Down Troll Telling Her to Stop Saying ‘Magnanakaw’

Actress Angelica Panganiban has never been afraid to speak up when it comes to her beliefs and advocacies. And it’s no different when she’s got a hater targeting her. She recently responded to a hater telling her to stop saying the word “magnanakaw.”

Last March 20, Angelica Panganiban took to Instagram to share with her fans that she’s expecting a baby with her partner Gregg Homan. “Magagampanan ko na rin ang pinakahihintay at pinakaimportanteng papel ng buhay ko. Magiging ganap na INA na po ako,” the caption read.

 

Her fans are already missing her

Most fans congratulated the actress on this new stage in her life. But a few also expressed that they already miss seeing her in new projects, as Angge would be taking a maternity break.


In another tweet, the actress comforted her fans, telling them she has a lot of previous films and shows they can come back to and watch again. “Balato niyo na sakin ang buhay ko ngayon. 30 years naman na ko sa inyo,” she added with a smiling emoji.

 

She’s thinking about vlogging

A week after her announcement, Angge went on Twitter, saying she’s thinking about starting a vlog. She asked her followers if they have any topics and questions they want to see in her content.

 

Her fans were supportive

Her tweet received over two hundred replies, and fans were supportive of her new venture. The actress also responded to some of them, sharing her thoughts on the questions.

 

But a few — not so much

On April 3, a week after the mini Q&A, one netizen in particular seemed too happy that Angge is taking a break from showbiz. “Tama yan magpahinga ka na lang at mag alaga ng magiging anak nyo,” their tweet read. The netizen also berated the actress, claiming Angge should learn to be a good person and to stop saying the word “magnanakaw” (or thief in English).

 

Angge shuts them down

When she saw the netizen’s tweet, the actress didn’t mince her words, telling the netizen to use their own advice for themselves. “Sana ikaw din maaral mo kung paano maging mabuting tao,” she tweeted. “Hindi yung affected ka sa salitang magnanakaw.”

 

Angelica’s voting awareness videos

Angelica Panganiban has been one of many Filipino celebrities being outspoken during this election season. She starred in two election advocacy videos, where she advised viewers against voting for thieves.

In her first video, Angelica ended her monologue: “Kaya yung eleksyon sa May 2022, ingat-ingat sa mga tao. Kilatising mabuti ang mga manliligaw. Halughugin ang bio data mula high school hanggang college. Alamin at tingnan ang character references. ‘Wag magpapabudol at ‘wag sa magnanakaw.”

 

This isn’t the first time she responded to haters

When her voting awareness videos came out, Angge received a lot of love, but also a lot of hate. One basher actually said she’s just a “starlet” who’s making a ruckus. She simply responded: “Affected ka sa ingay ng isang starlet? Salamat kung ganoin.”
