There are so many choices of ice cream shops around the metro that you wouldn’t have a hard time finding one. Which makes any time the perfect time for ice cream, especially soft serve ice cream. When you’re craving that sweet, creamy, swirly goodness, you can easily just go to the local convenience store or fast food chain to get a quick craving fix. Or if you have a little more spending budget, you can grab a cone of gourmet soft serve from that fancy ice cream shop. Whether you’re in petsa-de-peligro mode or just ready to splurge, we’ve got recommendations for yummy soft serve ice cream around Metro Manila for as low as P11.
The most affordable on our list, KFC’s Classic Kone is the perfect end to a budget yet tasty chicken dinner. And if you want a little bit more flavor, you can choose from their sundae variants and their Kreamball line. They actually introduce new flavors every now and then — just this last Christmas season, they gave us Triple Chocolate and Milk Cheese Kreamballs. TBH, we want them to remain on the regular menu.

Serving the country’s first black soft serve ice cream, Black Scoop started as a small cafe in Maginhawa, but has since grown to establish dozens of branches around the metro. Their unique flavors certainly contribute to that, along with a wide range of menu.

If you’re craving something sweet but still need a quick perk-me-up, then Kyoto-based % Arabica’s espresso soft serve is perfect for you. This dessert will give you that extra push you need to get through the day. Unfortunately, so far, this soft serve is only available in their Podium branch.

Smooth, creamy, and milky, Cow Cow Ice is probably my personal favorite on this list. Combined with their cheese biscuits and cheesecake, this soft serve certainly takes the cake. Get this if you have some extra spending budget, because it’s sooo worth it.
