To celebrate the group’s 8th anniversary, Spotify has prepared a series of surprises on the This Is BLACKPINK playlist under the banner #8YearswithBLACKPINK. Here’s what you can expect:

Playlist refreshed daily

Starting today until August 8, which marks the period of the group’s debut, the Spotify playlist “This is BLACKPINK” will allow you to rediscover a different BLACKPINK era each day. The playlist will refresh daily at 11 AM (PH time), so fans should set alarms so as not to miss anything!

8 years with BLACKPINK

With Spotify, 8 years with BLACKPINK means 8 straight days of celebrating the girls’ discography! You can expect different themes to be featured each day on This is BLACKPINK.

Special digital cards

As Blinks experiences iconic milestones of the group, some Spotify users will receive special digital social cards that will be revealed daily based on their streaming habits. It’s a reward that the biggest Blinks can share on their social media accounts!

For the first day, of course, fans can enjoy the Debut Era! You can check out today’s theme now on Spotify, and you’ll find out if you’re one of BLACKPINK’s top listeners.

Joining the celebration is easy. Just follow these simple steps:

1. Tune into This is BLACKPINK from August 1 – 8 to rediscover a different BLACKPINK era each day. The playlist will refresh daily at 11AM (PH time).
2. When you’re on This is BLACKPINK, you might get a special digital sharecard depending on your BLACKPINK streaming habits, so keep a lookout during this period to see how you’ve stanned.
3. Flex your fandom and fuel the celebrations of #8YearswithBLACKPINK by uploading your sharecards on social media.

BLACKPINK’s record-breaking rise

The proof is in the numbers when looking at BLACKPINK’s rise to stardom. Their Spotify streams tracked an average year-on-year growth of more than 110%, and BLACKPINK tracks have been added to more than 71 million user-generated playlists

The group now has more than 13 billion streams on Spotify, and at least 4 billion of those streams are thanks to their top five most-streamed songs, which are:

Their music has made waves well beyond Seoul. On Spotify, BLACKPINK’s top listening markets include the Philippines, along with the U.S., Indonesia, Mexico, and Brazil.
