There’s a long list of food cravings during this quarantine and one of them is milk tea. The crowd favorite sweet dessert with chewy boba pearls! Most milk tea franchises are closed but that doesn’t mean you can’t satisfy your sweet craving. Fortunately, bottled milk teas are now available in convenience stores or your local grocery:
Kaisi’s Premium Assam Milk Tea has been a go-to for many over the past years. It’s the familiar blue bottle that has the right amount of sweetness to satisfy milk tea addicts. Available for Php 59 in original and caramel flavors.
Remember Nestea’s viral powdered milk teas a few years ago? Well, they’re now available in ready-to-drink boxes! For Php 26, you can try original milk tea or wintermelon flavors.
The beloved iced tea brand has hopped into the milk tea train. C2 recently released its line of milk tea flavors, wintermelon, and chocolate for only Php 30 each.
Mine Shine has been available in convenience stores way before the milk tea craze in the country. According to some, its taste is similar to Serenitea’s Hokkaido milk tea! For only Php 42, you can already enjoy 600 mL of premium milk tea.
Schlurp is the familiar milk tea in colorful bottles with a smiley. The downside of buying bottled milk teas is most times, they don’t come with pearls or jelly. Schlurp is an exception though, since every bottle comes with chewy jellies that will give you the familiar in-store milk tea experience. They’re one of the most popular bottled milk tea brands, available in wintermelon, earl grey, Assam black, caramel, and butterscotch.
If you’re planning to store milk tea (in large quantities) in your fridge, go for this Japanese milk tea brand. Kirin’s milk tea only has one flavor but they’re available in generous 500 mL and 1.5 L options.
Unif is another brand that offers premium Assam milk tea. Though it’s on the pricier side for bottled milk teas, you’re getting what you’re paying for. The tea leaves they use are picked from the Himalayan foothills mixed with premium milk from New Zealand.
Taste Nirvana offers premium milk tea drinks in glass bottles. They’re all-natural drinks available in green tea latte and Thai tea flavors. They also have cappuccino and mocha flavors for coffee lovers to satisfy their daily dose of caffeine.
Don’t forget to disinfect grocery items after you purchase them! Stay safe!
