8 Fan-Favorite Highlights From the BTS Arirang World Tour Kick-Off in Goyang

Apr 10, 2026   •   Meryl Medel

Following a successful release of their chart-topping album ARIRANG and a historic performance special in Gwanghwamun Square, BTS has officially kicked off their ARIRANG World Tour at Goyang Stadium in a scene straight out of a coming-of-age movie — performing for 2.5 hours in the rain.

RM, Jin, SUGA, j-hope, Jimin, V, and Jung Kook welcomed ARMYs back with a bang, and here are some of the fan-favorite highlights we’ve seen during the show:

A rainy day to remember

The rain didn’t stop at all during the show, so much so that the members were soaked to their underwear, as Jimin jokingly said during a ment. But despite the heavy downpour, over 40,000 fans gathered in the stadium to witness the concert, while even more waited outside. Another 7 million viewers tuned in via Weverse’s streaming platform.

“It’s a legend right from the start,” said leader RM, even joking that the rain was “summoned” by their hit song SWIM, giving the concert a coming-of-age-film atmosphere.

“It’s a special edition [concert]. We’re sure it’s going to remain in your memory for a long time,” added SUGA.

Unstoppable performance energy

We were blown away by the non-stop pace of the show from the get-go. Right after “Hooligan,” BTS performed two more high-energy songs (“Aliens” and “Run BTS”), then took a brief break to introduce themselves. After which they went immediately to perform five more songs. Even made us think, “Wala bang break? Kami na sa audience ang napapagod.”

ARIRANG at front and center

Nearly all tracks in the new album were performed — even the hidden track “Come Over” (which made us cry, btw).

Only two songs didn’t make the cut: “One More Night” and “No. 29.” But BTS still has two more shows this weekend, so who knows what might happen?

Classics now remixed

BTS also kept the energy fresh by debuting new remixes of their hit songs, such as “FAKE LOVE” and “Not Today.” They even did an explosive “FYA” and “Fire” mashup!

During “I NEED U,” Jimin and V also performed a bit of the song’s iconic choreography, to the screams of fans.

Next-level stage production

In case you didn’t know, the concert fully utilized a 360-degree moving stage that let the members go around all sides of the stadium.

The production also implemented an ingenious use of props, lighting, and design, such as the blue cloth during “SWIM” to represent the sea, the hooded figures creating the Korean flag’s red and blue taegeuk circle, and more.

Ments, both fun and emotional

Throughout the concert, the members kept on joking around, even despite (or maybe especially more because of) the heavy rain. At one point, V even mimicked “swimming” on the wet stage, before proceeding to do the worm.

The members also reflected on their 6.5-year hiatus from touring. “Gathering up as 7 now, aren’t we more perfect now?” said V during one of their ments.

Later, RM echoed this sentiment: “You know how life is. It’s fun because it doesn’t go as planned. … But the fact that we’re still together. That’s the most precious thing, isn’t it?”

Heavenly live vocals and adlibs

Nothing beats live vocal performances, and BTS delivers all that for each song they perform. And the adlibs they add on top of the great tracks are just chef’s kiss, especially during “Into the Sun.”

Getting closer to fans

All throughout the concert, the group prioritized ARMY’s experience, reminding fans to have fun while staying safe.

The members also went down the stage during “IDOL” to circle the whole stadium and get closer to ARMYs. In the encore, JIN went down the stage several times to interact with fans closely, even letting them sing into his mic like he did during his solo tour.

The group also hinted at a potential encore concert after the tour ends. But that would be a long while from now, since they have over 80 shows to do until next year, with more to come.

For now, we’re eagerly waiting for details to drop for their Manila show. Bookmark the page below to stay updated:
