Hey, ARMY! ICYDK, SM Megamall and Nice Entertainment are bringing the BTS x James Jean: SEVEN PHASES Exhibition to Manila! You might be wondering what exactly they’re displaying at the exhibit, and we’re here to give you a quick sneak peek from our recent visit.
There are several hallways-slash-rooms in the exhibit, and we’ve categorized them based on the content you can see in each area.
The James Jean artworks area is dedicated to the extraordinary artworks created by acclaimed artist James Jean. From his earlier sketches to the finished masterpieces, you can see James Jean’s artistic process behind the creations inspired by the members of BTS. According to a staff member who toured us, these pieces are not for sale, since the artworks are already owned by the members. They just loaned it so we fans can see it here in Manila.
The BTS artifacts area features the clothing and accessories that the BTS members wore for various performances, namely “Permission to Dance”, “MIC Drop”, and “Butter”. You can also spot the microphones and in-ear headphones they used during their tour.
Meanwhile, the BTS awards area is dedicated to the many many awards that the group has received over the years. You’ll spot several trophies from the Billboard Music Awards, American Music Awards, MTV VMAs, and more. Even the Butter albums that the albums designed themselves are there, as well as the sneakers that Jimin and J-Hope painted from In The Soop.
Unfortunately, no photos or videos are allowed in the BTS assets and awards areas. But all the more you can savor the moment you see them!
Finally, the BTS fan zone is where ARMY can leave messages for BTS on the black walls. We didn’t bring a pen, but not to worry, because the exhibit staff is always ready with different colored markers.
Just a few steps away is the ~budol~ area, where you can shop to your heart’s content for all things BTS. Check out our top picks here:
