Two new characters will be introduced to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The first one will be Black Panther, who will play quite an important role in the movie. He will come in with not much backstory. Comic book readers will know him as T’Challa, the prince of Wakanda, and that’s how movie viewers will meet the character. Black Panther is slated to appear in five more Marvel movies.
Finally! Sony and Marvel finally arrived at an agreement and now the web-slinger will be joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Replacing Andrew Garfield will be Tom Holland, who is also slated to portray Peter Parker/Spider-Man in Spider-Man: Homecoming, which is set to come out in 2017. Spider-Man joins Iron Man’s side in Civil War, but it is yet to be known whether he will defect from the group within the movie’s timeline.
In the trailer, War Machine was shown unconscious (or dead) in the arms of Iron Man. This is not the only death you should be preparing for though. In the comics, Steve Rogers dies at the conclusion of Civil War and it only makes sense to trim a couple of characters out of the picture to make way for the next phase of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Besides, it is also a known fact that Bucky takes over Captain America duties after Rogers dies. Prepare those tissues because heroes will fall.
Captain America: Civil War is the beginning of the third phase of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Included in this phase are the following: Doctor Strange, Guardians of the Galaxy 2, Thor: Ragnarok, Black Panther, Spider-Man: Homecoming, Captain Marvel, The Avengers: Infinity War (parts one and two), and Inhumans. Excited yet? We are, too. April 27 can’t come any sooner!
