Series and Movies To Watch If You Miss the Cast Of ‘Alice In Borderland’

If you haven’t gotten over the intense Netflix original series Alice In Borderland, these shows and films starring Tao Tsuchiya (Yuzuha Usagi) and Kento Yamazaki (Ryohei Arisu) will surely help you survive while waiting for the next season. Did you know that the duo has long been starring in films and shows together? Watch more of them in out these Japanese shows and films:

Mare (Tao Tsuchiya and Kento Yamazaki)

Tao Tsuchiya plays the titular character Mare, a jolly girl who at a young age has decided to take life one small step at a time. Her family moves from Tokyo to the city of Nato to get away from debts. There she meets Keita Kontani played by Kento Yamazaki her neighbor who starts to fall for her. Years later Mare decides to work for the Wajima local government and promises she won’t end up like her father.

 

 

My Little Monster (Tao Tsuchiya)

In this drama, Tao Tsuchiya plays Shizuku Mizutani a student who always gets high grades but lacks social skills. One day she meets Haru Yoshida (Masaki Suda) an impulsive short-tempered brute who gets suspended on his first day of school. As the smartest student in the class, Mizutani is assigned to deliver notes to Haru which results in an unexpected relationship.

 

Kiss That Kills (Kento Yamazaki)

 

Kento Yamazaki plays popular night club host Otaro Dojima who believes that love makes people unhappy. One day his life changes when a mysterious woman kisses him and causes him to die and go back to the past.

Waiting For Spring (Tao Tsuhiya)

Tao Tsuhiya plays Mitsuki Haruno in this high school drama about learning how to open up. Haruno is shy and doesn’t like to talk to anyone which becomes the main reason why she doesn’t have any friends. All this change, when she meets Towa Asakura (Takumi Kitamura) who is the extremely popular star basketball player of the school. The two immediately grow closer and start to develop feelings for one another.

 

 

Good Doctor (Kento Yamazaki)

Kento Yamazaki plays Minato Shindo an incredibly smart doctor who has savant syndrome which causes him to have an amazing memory but bad communication skills. Ever since he was young, he has always dreamed of being a doctor because he wants to saves lives. Now that he is one, he makes it his mission to save as many lives as he can.

 

 

The 8-Year Engagement (Tao Tsuhiya)

Tao Tsuhiya plays Mai a young woman very much in love with her fiance Hisashi (Takeru Satoh). Three months before the wedding, tragedy strikes and Mai falls into a coma. Hisashi never stopped loving Mai and prays every day for her to recover. When Mai finally wakes up she has no memory of Hisashi at all.

 

 

Orange ( Tao Tsuchiya and Kento Yamazaki)

In this tragic love story, Tao Tsuchiya and Kento Yamazaki play two high school students who are destined to be together. During the spring, Naho Takamiya (Tsuchiya) receives a letter from her future self. The letter details her falling in love with new student Kakeru Naruse (Yamazaki) who is suffering from the trauma caused by his mother’s suicide. Naho finds out Kakeru will eventually die a year after they meet. With this information, Naho Takamiya is determined to change her future.

 

Your Lie In April (Kento Yamazaki)

Kento Yamazaki plays Kosei Arima a child pianist who won numerous piano competitions but suffered extreme pressure from his mother. Since the death of his mother, he has refused to join competitions because he has been unable to hear the sound of his piano. One day when he meets the young and beautiful violinist Kaori Miyazono (Suzu Hirose)  his heart opens up and he learns to play the piano again.
