Chinese New Year 2025 Do’s and Don’ts to Attract Good Fortune

Jan 13, 2025   •   Angeli De Rivera

Kung Hei Fat Choi! Are you ready to greet the Year of the Wood Snake? Then best to observe these do’s and don’ts during the Chinese New Year celebrations para maraming swerte ang dumating at iwasan ang malas sa darating na 2025.

Don’t: Take a bath or cut your hair.

Do: Wear red or new clothes.

Don’t: Use scissors or knives.

Do: Eat round fruits.

Do: Greet everyone you meet.

Don’t: Lend or borrow money.

Do: Give out ampao.

Yes, those red Chinese envelopes with money in it.

When not playing with her baby girl, Angeli loves to just chill with J-Indie and City Pop tracks. A food editor for more than a decade, she still can’t stand cucumber, okra, and avocado. She has, however, made her peace with cilantro — sometimes.
