Do you ever catch yourself wondering (usually when you’re in the throes of nostalgia) just what happened to one of the most iconic bands of the 80s? We’re talking none other than quadruple platinum, award-winning, genre-shattering Culture Club, fronted by the undeniable Boy George.
Well wonder no more! Since their falling out in 1986, the band has tried numerous times to reunite—but due to conflicting schedules and the stars just not aligning, they never managed to pull it off. At least, until now. The synthpop gods have heard the battle cry of 80s kids and music fans all over the Philippines, and Culture Club is finally back on a world tour (their first in 12 long years!) to deliver.
To prep yourself for their first ever Philippine concert, happening this June 17 and 18 at the Araneta Coliseum, here are a few of the band’s most memorable songs. Get ready for #BoyGeorgeCultureClubPH!
Memorable lines: I’m a man without conviction / I’m a man who doesn’t know / How to sell a contradiction / You come and go / You come and go
Memorable lines: Do you really want to hurt me / Do you really want to make me cry /Precious kisses words that burn me / Lovers never ask you why
Memorable lines: Time is like a clock in my heart / Touch we touch was the heat too much / I felt I lost you from the start / In time we could’ve been so much more
Memorable lines: I’ll be your baby, I’ll be your score / I’ll run the gun for you / and so much more / I’ll tumble for ya, I’ll tumble for ya
