Cup noodles will always have a special place in our hearts. It’s easy to find, convenient to prepare, and so filling and tasty to eat. Need a quick breakfast? Cup noodles! Want a cheap lunch? Cup noodles! Hungry at midnight? You know it — cup noodles! They’re not exactly the healthiest snack, but hey, they’re delish, so we love them anyway. And the brands know just how much everyone loves cup noodles, so we should have seen this coming. Nissin took merch to a whole new level with these Cup Noodles Wireless Headphones, and we’re low-key obsessed.

Despite how weird it looks, this strange contraption *does* actually work. It’s a collaboration between Nissin and HyperX, and it’s called HyperX Cup MIX-In. The headphones’ ear cups are shaped in the iconic Nissin Cup Noodles cup, so they’ll fit around even the largest ears. And instead of a regular microphone, it has a Microphork — which is, of course, in the shape of a fork.

Local collectible shop Hubbyte Toy Store recently shared photos of the product on their Facebook page, which gained over a thousand reactions and shares.

Can you still buy it?

Unfortunately, these strange yet cute headphones aren’t on the market at the moment. It was originally released in 2019 as a limited edition item.

But Nissin Japan is bringing it back for a special promo! In Japan, the brand is holding a Cup Noodle Quest promotion event, where every Cup Noodle purchased gives a customer a point. With these points, the customer can redeem a raffle draw for a prize. There are three prize tiers, and the higher you go up the tiers, the weirder the prizes get.

For two points, you can get things like a 1.5-kilogram package of Cup Noodles’ infamous mystery meat. For six points, you can get a giant Mystery Meat bean bag. And for twelve points, you can receive the ultimate award: the Nissin Cup Noodles Wireless Headphones.

Other prizes in the promo include a Cup Noodles water bottle, a Cup Noodles x Tamiya radio-controlled car, a Cup Noodles golf bag, and a Cup Noodles skateboard. There are a few other items that are useful like the Japanese black beef or Miyazaki caviar, and a couple of collectibles like a basketball signed by Rui Hachimura or a uniform signed by the Zeta Division team.

However, this promo is only restricted to residents of Japan. Maybe you can join if you’ve got family or friends there!
