There’s an internet saying that goes, “when in doubt, put a cat on it.” Why the hell not? When they’re not plotting to take over your soul, cats are pretty cute and awesome.
They even take over your social media feed. People just can’t stop staring at pictures of cute animals. The good news is that besides making you feel gooey inside, recent studies show that staring at cute pictures of animals helps you focus and concentrate.
Sometimes, all you need is a cute cat picture to help you through the day. However, the cats below aren’t just any feline. They deserve your respect and they’re gonna get it, dammit.
The next time your boss reprimands you for staring at adorable animal pictures all day, just tell them it helps your productivity. Check out some cats that you need to follow and scroll away!
8. Nala the Cat
Nala is a Siamese and Tabby mix. She was abandoned in a shelter when she was five months old. She’s not yet five years old and happier than ever thanks to her new owner. She has adorably short legs and loves to post her #OOTDs. She also posts a lot of her adventures, from going grocery shopping to fitting her adorably fat body in a box.

Though cats have a reputation for being jerks, Toco’s actually a really cool cat (pun intended). Toco won’t take a picture unless one of her humans is in the photo too! She even sleeps beside them and babysits whenever necessary. This is one cat we won’t mind having as a feline overlord.
6. Princess Monster Truck
Princess Monster Truck was found starving and hungry, living in a bush near a couple’s home. After being rescued, Princes Monster Truck used her fame and fierce underbite to inspire the public to adopt street cats like her. Her underbite is a common condition that happens in Persian breeds, and that didn’t stop her from spreading smiles and being adorable.
5. Sam
Sam gained widespread recognition thanks to his eyebrows. He may look worried, anxious and tense, but he’s one of the most playful cats you’ll see on social media. He can make a lot of expressions thanks to those eyebrows.
Sam was abandoned by his previous owners. He then became a part of the succeeding owners’ family. They started an Instagram account for him and his fame shot up. He got featured in newspapers, magazines and online outlets as he spread smiles, thanks to his unique appearance.
How can anyone abandon this guy? Can you imagine abandoning anyone or anything with that look on their face?
