Bretman Rock is back in the Philippines once again and is, at the moment, having a grand time in Palawan, if his delightful Instagram stories are to go by. He’s back in our tropical country for a late celebration of his birthday last July 31. But although his adventures are entertaining, Bretman’s Pinoy fans are more interested in something else: Did he just throw shade at PH global tourism ambassador Vanessa Hudgens?

Bretman Rock replies to a comment about Vanessa Hudgens

Bretman’s latest Instagram post is a series of stunning photos of him enjoying island life in Palawan. He’s buying buko, he’s posing for what looks like a magazine shoot, he’s having fun making a TikTok video at his beach-front cottage.

“Only if that little kid who grew up in Sanchez Mira Cagayan knew he would have everything he ever dreamt of one day,” Bretman wrote in his heartfelt caption. “It’s so hard not to feel proud of that little brown boy when I’m home.”

Pinoy fans quickly flooded his comments section with one fan commenting: “Vanessa Hudgens is shaking.”

“B**** can’t even say Palawan,” was Bretman’s reply, much to the entertainment of Pinoys.

To recall, Vanessa was named the official Philippines global tourism ambassador last March to “promote Philippine tourism and raise the country’s global status.” Vanessa, 34, whose mother is Filipino, set foot in the Philippines for the first time in her life and even met with President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.

Many Pinoys felt that there were better PH global tourism ambassadors to choose from, namely Bretman and Sandara Park. Both personalities have been vocal about their love for our country, even going so far as to tirelessly promote it abroad.

“This is the real ambassador of the Philippines!!! Our queen,” read another comment on Bretman’s Instagram post.

In another Instagram post of Bretman’s island adventures, another Pinoy fan made a comment: “Don’t get me wrong, I like Vanessa Hudgens, but Bretman Rock should’ve been the Global Tourism Ambassador to promote the Philippines.”
