It might already be the rainy season, but the heat in the country still wouldn’t let up. And it’s getting harder and harder to find ways to cool down when the temperature just goes higher and higher. But having an icy snack is always on the top of our list of recommendations to cool down, so check out these easy palamig snacks you can make at home.
If you loooooooove chocolate, this one’s for you. All you need is cream, condensed milk, ice, and Milo powder, and you’re good to go! It probably won’t even take you ten minutes. See the full recipe here.
Mango float or mango graham cake — whatever you call that, it will always be a classic Pinoy cold dessert. Not only does it taste amazing, it’s easy to prepare, too. And it’d definitely help you cool down. No mango? You can try other fruits like peach, too!

Another classic, con hielos are easy to make with even easier-to-procure ingredients. On top of the usual mais con hielo and saba con hielo, you can try making mani, kamote, and mangga con hielo to bring new flavors to this Pinoy classic dessert.
Any ice cream you would order would probably be melting by the time your delivery guy arrives at your door. So why not make your own? And put your own Pinoy twist into it with mangoes! See the full recipe here.
Too impatient to wait for the soft serve ice cream to cool down? Mix some mango and sago with milk and ice for an easy quick fix. See the full recipe here.
Bingsu is pretty much like halo-halo, with shaved ice topped with sweets like fruit, milk, syrup, and the like. Why not try it at home but with a Pinoy twist? Top it with ginataan na bilo-bilo! See the full recipe here.
