- “Honesty should not be an election issue.” During the 2019 election campaign, Sara Duterte defended the Hugpong ng Pagbabago (HNP) party against allegations of misusing funds, saying that because all candidates lie, honesty shouldn’t be an issue.
- On being paired with Mayor Isko: During his three-day visit in Mindanao, presidential candidate and Manila Mayor Isko Moreno did not campaign with his running mate Doc Willie Ong to prevent “awkward situations” since the people in the areas they visited paired him with Sara Duterte. Duterte would not comment on the issue.
- Hitting a court sheriff over demolition ops: In 2011, Sara Duterte punched a court sheriff who insisted on demolishing houses in contested property.
