New Music Festival Alert: What We Know About Asiya Fest So Far

Aug 14, 2024   •   Ina Louise Manto

From fan meetings to concerts, there are many ways to meet our favorite artists without going abroad. A new music festival experience by Karpos (the same folks behind Wanderland Music and Arts Festival) was just announced the other day, which will give the spotlight to up-and-coming Asian acts. Curious about what it’s all about? Here’s what we know so far about this promising fest:

What is Asiya Fest?

“Asiya” is an Asian Music Festival and Conference. It’s the phonetic spelling of Asia and is enunciated as “I see ya.” This festival is more than just a platform for performances; it is “a vibrant meeting ground for the music industry,” as its website states.

It’s a two-day festival

I SEE YOU, ASIA

Together, in one place, ASIYA brings fans, musicians, and industry professionals together to celebrate the rich and diverse sounds of Asia. #ASIYAFEST

There’s no such thing as bitin with Asiya Fest. Fans have an entire weekend of good music and good vibes. Block your calendars for October 12 and 13, 2024, when Asiya will be held at the World Trade Center.

It’s also a music conference

Music fans aren’t the only ones who are in for a treat. Asiya is also a music conference that will gather industry experts and veterans, making it the perfect event for all to learn about the music industry, emerging trends, and ways to succeed in the music landscape. The conference will have panel discussions, keynotes, and networking opportunities. Global delegates include concert promoters, professionals from music festivals, booking agencies, and artist management. See the full list here.

Gone are the days when we dream of flying abroad to participate in music festivals – it’s finally our turn to witness artists from South Korea, Malaysia, Japan, Taiwan, Singapore, and Thailand. Aside from BINI, many local acts will take the Asiya stage, too, such as Reese Lansangan, Urbandub, Juan Karlos, and Zild.

How much are tickets?

Like Karpos’ pioneering music festival, Wanderland, concertgoers can choose between a one-day pass and a weekend bundle. The cheapest ticket tier is Phase 1, at PHP3,650 each for GA Saturday or GA Sunday Pass.

If you want more perks and merch, go for the VIP Weekend pass at PHP8,850 for the Phase 1 price.

Ticket selling is in a few days
