When former actresses Pia Wurtzbach and Megan Young won Miss Universe and Miss World respectively, people started to fall in love again with the idea of celebrities turning beauty queens. And as a pageant-crazy country, we’d definitely love to see that again in the future! Who knows, maybe they’ll bag another crown for us.

Standing at 5”7, Montelaba has a morena charm that is fit for a Filipina beauty queen. It is actually her long-time dream; she even trained for it for quite some time in the hopes of joining Binibinang Pilipinas or Miss World Philippines. However, she put that on hold and chose her showbiz career instead.
We hope that she’ll join again, because she’s definitely got the beauty and passion of pageant titleholders.

Monika Sta. Maria may not be an actress, but her stint at the Asia’s Top Model proves that she is born to be queen. She ended up as the runner-up to the winner Ayu Gani in the competition, but who knows, she might be able to bag the crown in Miss Universe.

As a professional model having walked at the Philippine Fashion Week in 2010, Ingrid dela Paz proved that she can own the stage. She has the looks and talents to be in a beauty pageant, and her Instagram photos show how hot she is in a swimsuit!

People know her as Sang’gre Danaya in the remake of the fantasy series Encantadia, and her beauty has caught the eyes of pageant fans. This young actress stands at 5”6, and we can imagine how beautiful she can be with a crown.

Before she became a talent at GMA Network, Gabbi Garcia has won small pageants like Ms. Skin White 2011 and Miss Solane 2013. This budding beauty queen is a total performer: she is the lead singer of a band and can also play the guitar. She’s also interested in joining Binibining Pilipinas, and we really hope that she’ll pursue it.

When you see Ritz Azul on TV, you know that she’s got what it takes to be a beauty queen. And she definitely plans to join beauty pageants in the future, so we’re keeping our fingers crossed. She has worked with former beauty queens Megan Young and Valeria Weigmann in different teleseryes before, and she admitted that she was inspired by their pageant run.

Liza Soberano is an effortless beauty; she has a face that is widely praised–even internationally. Current Miss Universe Pia Wurtzbach even recognized her potential, saying that Soberano is one of the top-the-mind choices for a beauty queen.
