Popular First Date Restaurants and What they Could Mean

4. Ninyo Fusion Cuisine and Wine

66 Esteban Abada Street, Loyola Heights, Quezon City
(02) 426 0302, 0917 580 7928 |
Facebook
Open Tuesday to Sunday from 11am to 2pm, 6pm to 10pm
Budget for two – P3,500

Victim of love-at-first-sight and not afraid to show it? Think you’ve found the love of your life? Confess (or at least hint at) your feelings at Ninyo’s incredibly romantic grounds. With private gazebos, dim lighting and topnotch food—this restaurant is appropriate for an anniversary celebration or even a proposal. But if you’re a “go big or go home” kind or person, Ninyo’s is the perfect place to go all out.

3. Sip & Gogh

Here’s a wonderful breather from the typical movie + restaurant kind of first date. If you want to set yourself apart from other fish in the sea, reserve a table for two at Sip & Gogh. Invite your crush to a unique afternoon spent painting, drinking wine and discovering each other’s artistic abilities. You’ll get to try something new with your potential boo, which is an awesome way to bond.

2. Your Local

GF Universal LMS Building, 106 Esteban Street, Legaspi Village, Makati
0917 654 3355, (02) 823 6206 |
Facebook | Website
Open Monday to Saturday from 11am to 2pm, 6pm to 10pm | Sunday from 10am to 3pm
Budget for two – P1,400

For those in search of exciting, new renditions of Asian cuisine, Your Local is sure to make a good impression. While the food gets your bae in a chirpy mood, the hip and sexy ambience will make him/her want to stay. And if the intial requirement of small talk isn’t your forte, their delectable cocktails will make conversations effortless. The intimate set-up will get you guys talking close to each other, too.

1. Breakfast at Antonio’s

Aguinaldo Highway, Barangay Bagong Tubig, Tagaytay City
(046) 413 0738 |
Facebook | Website
Open every day from 7am to 9pm
Budget for two – P1,200

Only very few will have the courage and sense of adventure to go as far as Tagaytay for a first date. This will require at least an hour’s road trip from Manila, which can mean two things: lots of awkward silences or belting out songs together. This kind of first date is definitely a risk, but if it pays off, you’ll have a solid foundation to a potential relationship.

Don’t worry. If all goes south, the excellent service, scrumptious food and breathtaking view at Breakfast at Antonio’s can still save your first date.

Had a first date at any of these restaurants? How’d it go? Sound off below!
