4. Generoso Cupal, “Sikyo sa umaga, eksperto sa gabi”

“‘Di ako nahihiya kasi apelyido lang ‘yan. Ano naman kung maganda apelyido mo kung ‘yung gawa mo naman hindi maganda. Wala rin ‘yan,” is what the honorable Quezon City Memorial Circle Security Guard Generoso Cupal said in an interview with Word of the Lourd. Now with his own segment in TV5’s Kontrabando called “Hoy Cupal!” Mr. Cupal is on TV regularly as the show’s security and counter-terrorism expert.

2. The Chua siblings

The chemistry of the Chua siblings is a sight to behold because, well, they’re literally named after two of the 110 elements of the periodic table. Their loving parents, George and Cherry Chua, decided to name their daughter Chloe Chlorine Chua and their younger son Landon Zinc Chua. Inspired by George’s job as a chemistry teacher, Chloe will have to endure jokes like, “‘Wag ka nang pumunta sa swimming pool, Chlorine, sasakit mata namin!” for the rest of her life.

There’s no proof that Macaroni ‘85, Spaghetti ‘88, and Sincerely Yours ‘98 Pascual’s parents were high whenever they decided on their children’s names, but it does seem like they were.
