Two more Filipinas just joined Elisia Parmisano in the new girl group debuting through survival show Universe Ticket. Filipina Gehlee Dangca and Korean-Filipino Jin Hyeon-ju just secured their spots in the final lineup of girl group UNIS during the final episode of the survival show aired last night. While we wait for their debut date, here are some facts to get to know the two new Pinays debuting as K-pop idols:

Gehlee Dangca

She finished fourth in the survival show and hopes to secure the position of main vocal or visual of the group. According to Gehlee, she’s the Disney Princess of Universe Ticket.

Gehlee is only 17 years old

Gehlee was born on 19 August 2007, making her a Leo.

Gehlee was a budding beauty queen

Before starting her idol career in Seoul, Gehlee has been joining pageants in the Philippines, even being crowned Pansilaw Charity Queen International. She also modeled for local brands, such as Michaela.

It seems like a habit, where she pushes one of her knees out with the heel of her foot up. Fans absolutely adore it.

She has two huskies: Aecha and Meiji.

Jin Hyeonju

Hyeonju, also known as Belle, finished 8th overall in the survival show, making her the final member of UNIS.

Hyeonju is the only member at a legal age

She was born on 3 November 2001, so she’s a Scorpio. At 22 years old, she’s the oldest in the group and the only one at a legal age.

Hyeonju has debuted twice already

Before joining Universe Ticket, Hyeonju has already debuted with two groups. In 2017, she debuted with a group named GOOD DAY, releasing their first and last mini album that year, before eventually disbanding around 2019. Then she debuted in 2020 with 7-member girl group Cignature, where she is a lead vocalist and lead dancer.

Hyeonju is a good cook

According to her fellow Cignature member Dohee, Hyeonju is the best cook in their group.

Hyeonju has two favorite colors

It’s purple and orange, though it seems she leans towards purple more after she dyed her hair purple and started getting a lot of different objects in purple.
