Independent Filipino agency GIGIL has officially entered the big leagues. In the latest Campaign Brief Asia’s Most Awarded Agencies of 2025, GIGIL ranked #7, making it the only Asian independent agency in the Top 10—right alongside the region’s biggest global network agencies.
The climb has been steady but impressive. Over the last three years, GIGIL has moved up the Campaign Brief Asia Rankings from #14 to #12, and ultimately to #7, marking its strongest regional showing yet.

The ranking is based on performance across the world’s most prestigious creative shows—and GIGIL’s trophy haul speaks for itself. With wins from Cannes Lions, D&AD, and other major festivals including the London International Awards, Clios, ADFEST, Spikes Asia, MAD STARS, AWARD Awards, and The Work, the agency accumulated 2,545 points overall.
Among its biggest standouts are the now-viral films Mandaue Foam Home Store’s “Steal,” RC Cola’s “Miracle,” and Grab’s “Summer,” all of which took home trophies at Cannes. These campaigns didn’t just win awards—they dominated timelines, sparked memes, and became talking points in Philippine pop culture, proving that local creativity can resonate far beyond the country’s borders.

On the home front, GIGIL was also named Philippine Agency of the Year, landing at the top of the country’s creative rankings in 2023 and 2024.
Founding partners Badong Abesamis and Herbert Hernandez likewise landed at the top of the Creative Director rankings in the Philippines, and ranked #7 overall in Asia.
The Campaign Brief Asia Creative Rankings tabulate the wins of an ad agency the past two years at 12 of the biggest and most reputable creative shows in the world: Cannes Lions, D&AD, The One Show, Clio Awards, London International Awards, the New York Festivals, AWARD Awards, Spikes Asia, ONE Asia, the ADFEST, MAD STARS, and Campaign Brief’s The Work.
What makes the milestone even more remarkable is how quickly it happened. Just over seven years since its founding, GIGIL has grown from a bold local startup into one of Asia’s most influential creative agencies, helping build brands while shaping the tone of modern Filipino advertising along the way.
And if the agency’s track record is any indication, this isn’t just a win for GIGIL—it’s a sign that Philippine creativity is increasingly becoming impossible for the world to ignore.
