It was the best of times, it was the worst of times. This adage has never been more true than when describing 2016. Perhaps it was because the world has been more connected now than ever before that it feels like the world is ending whenever we learn that horrible things are happening not just in our backyard, but the world in general. Regardless, this year in particular has polarized people around the world like never before in the history of mankind.
