It’s Halloween month! We all anticipate October for the spooky vibes of everything happening, but beyond haunted festivals, this month has amazing music, great films, and even more in store for you.

If you’re looking for the absolutely spookiest event this month, Haunted Manila Festival is probably for you. It’s a six-day event filled with music, film, adventure, and ZOMBIES. It’s been a long time since we last had an Outbreak Manila run. Are you ready to run from zombies? Come and join the spooky fun this October 26 to 31 at the Filinvest City Events Grounds.
If you’re up for a rave party, Poseidon Halloween Festival is the event to watch out for. EDM duo Vinai, Korean DJ Sura, and our homegrown DJ Ron Poe will turn up the heat on October 31 at the Cove Manila Beach Club, OKADA.
Get ready to play parlour games, go trick-or-treating, and show off your costume on October 31 at PLAY at OKADA Manila. There are two sessions (afternoon and evening), so you have the choice of playing with your kid in the afternoon and going out to party at night. Or IDK, go on both times if you want, it’s up to you (or maybe your kid). In any case, we’re sure your kids, your nieces and nephews, and the child inside of you will definitely enjoy this Dia De Los Muertos.
You can’t make a list of October events without mentioning Oktoberfest, and Oktoberfest events are aplenty around the metro.
Going into less spooky waters, World Travel Expo is also happening this month with dozens of exhibitors ranging from airlines to travel tour companies to hotels and more. Score great deals and get sweet treats when you drop by this October 25 to 27 at the SMX Convention Center.
So many artists are dropping by Manila this month! From crushie Shawn Mendes to the visual kings of GOT7 to the ultimate throwback with the Backstreet Boys, October has a lot in store for us. Time to bow down to Pop Queen Carly Rae.
Last month, we got Park Hae Jin, Jung Hae In, and Park Seo Joon.
Well, this month, we’re getting a visit from the Grim Reaper (no, not the literal one). Swoon over Lee Dong Wook of Goblin and My Girl fame on October 5 at SM Megamall Fashion Hall. His latest drama, Hell is Other People, is currently airing.
South Korea’s Ballad Prince Lee Seung Gi will be gracing us with his fantastical presence on October 12 at the New Frontier Theater, Araneta City. We first saw him in My Girlfriend is a Gumiho, and we’ve loved him ever since. Catch him as a stuntman entrenched in a maze of politics on Vagabond available on Netflix.
Kang Daniel finished first in the survival reality show Produce 101, becoming a member of beloved boy group Wanna One. While they have now disbanded, Kang Daniel continues on to a solo career, coloring our lives better. See him in person at his fanmeet Color on Me this October 19 at the Mall of Asia Arena.
ASTRO’s Cha Eun Woo is beloved by both Kpop and Kdrama fans (his tsundere character in My ID is Gangnam Beauty. . . sigh). And Pinoy fans can finally see him on October 26 at the New Frontier Theater, Araneta City.
October doesn’t only mean Halloween; it also means more films from QCinema International Film Festival. Enjoy a whole range of films this October 13 to 22 across QC cinemas. Check out what films are being shown here and their screening schedules here.
