Being a celebrity, fashion icon, businesswoman, and socialite, Heart Evangelista has had all sorts of bashers camping out in her comments section. But instead of letting the mean words affect her, Heart has chosen time and again to send the same energy back. She responded to someone calling her a gold digger and to someone who said she was “out of touch, privileged, and problematic.” And now she has some choice words to shut down a new commenter comparing her to a common house gecko.
Last November 2, Heart posted a reel on Instagram captioned with “Season 3 na! Get ready with me.” In the video, she’s seen picking out her OOTD before running off to work. Pretty soon the comments section was flooded with positive messages for the socialite. Many said they were happy to see Heart smiling, having fun, and bringing back her “get ready with me” series. But others can’t help but leave comments about her weight loss.
“Sobrang payat mo na yata dito Ms. Heart unlike dun sa mga old videos mo,” said one netizen.
Another even went so far as to compare the 37-year-old to a butiki (lizard): “[You] look like a butiki! Lol.”
Never one to take bashers’ shots sitting down, Heart responded with sass.
“OMG I really tried to look like that!! Buti ka pa effortless,” she wrote.
The commenter replied and said they did not mean any harm in posting the original comment. But if you go around saying someone — let alone someone you don’t personally know — looks like a lizard, they’ll obviously take it in a bad way.
After weeks of staying in Paris, Heart is back in the country “with a vengeance” as she said in her video. She’s still keeping mum about her alleged split with her husband Senator Chiz Escudero. But judging by the signs — no wedding ring, the deleted seventh anniversary post, talking about “personal struggles,” etc — everyone probably knows what’s up.
All Heart has for everyone are cryptic messages.
“I thought she was done with these,” said one comment on her video.
“Madaming namamatay sa ‘I thought’ dear. Go with the flow nalang darling. Pati ako madaming ‘I thought.’ Kaya hayaan na dear,” said Heart.
She was clearly talking about something else there, right?
Regardless, you have to love Heart for standing her ground and defending herself against bashers. She’s a queen through and through!
