Valentine’s Day falls on a Sunday this year, so make the most of the free day to do whatever it was you promised yourself you’d do. Whether it’s scuba diving, starting your workout regimen, getting a pet or even quitting a vice, Valentine’s Day could be the day you finally start walking your talk.
If you aren’t getting the love you think you deserve this Valentine’s, treat yourself to a good day. You deserve it. Delight yourself with a fancy dinner at home accompanied by your favorite movie, or perhaps buy those shoes you’ve been eyeing for months.
Contrary to popular belief, metal can actually make you calmer, not angrier. Seriously. Listen to the likes of Slayer, Pantera, and classic Metallica (not the new stuff) and watch your Valentine’s Day blues disappear into thin air. Even if you don’t enjoy heavy metal, these classic bands are friendly enough for any music lover and will make you forget about all that cheesy love BS. Give it a shot!
You don’t have to be alone on Valentine’s Day, and neither do your parents. Take time out of your day to take your mother or father (or both) to a nice lunch or dinner. Tell them how much you love them and appreciate the things they’ve done for you. If the true meaning of love is what you seek, then look no further than a mother and father’s love for their child.
