For your finishing move, use a fixing or setting spray to keep your face in place. You can’t very well look like you’re not wearing any makeup if it’s melting all over your face.
Help is on the way.
Whoever said that beauty is only skin deep was only half right, at least about the skin part (and of course we’re taking this literally; a good heart and kind soul are just as important as good grooming, but that’s beside the point). Anyway, the key to pulling off the “no makeup” look, if you really don’t plan to wear any, and also if you do, is good skin. Wash your face, get a good moisturizer, repeat everyday a la of-the-moment personality, Lauren Reid, whose beauty routine is all about skincare. Following a good skin regimen really pays off, but that’s just one part of the way to healthy skin and the best products can only do so much.
There’s no big rule to your chosen moisturizer. You just have to try and see what works.
You probably already knew this, but all the bad stuff (i.e., acne, eye bags, etc.) come out when you’re tired, stressed or just not having a good run with your body, so listen to it and give it what it needs. The less work your concealer has to do, the better!
No, honey, no.
Sometimes your face just needs to breathe. If you’re one of those girls who wouldn’t dare step out of the house, or even the boudoir, bare-faced, then make sure you just set aside some time for that natural skin to come out. After all, the original “no makeup” look is the one where, well, you literally don’t wear any.
Sorry.
