However, when she notices his potential in math, she helps him study and bring his grades up. They get along well, but become embroiled in a scandal that tears them apart. Four years later, now both adults, they meet again.

Set in a world where infectious diseases are the new norm, a newly built apartment has been built, where the higher floors are sold to rich residents while the lower floors are rented out. Police officer Yoon Sae-bom (Han Hyo-joo) is excited to move into her new apartment, but she gets stuck inside when a new type of deadly virus spread throughout the city and the apartment building is sealed off to prevent further infections. Sae-bom, along with her long-time friend and fellow police officer Jung Yi-hyun and health service command lieutenant colonel Han Tae-seok, attempts to find a cure to the outbreak, all while trying to survive the psychological battle and class discrimination between the residents.

But plot twist: the doctor he hired is In Yoon-jo (Jung In-sun), who has no medical background and is actually a tour guide.
