Some K-drama pairings have so much chemistry on screen, it naturally overflows into real life just like Hyun Bin and Son Ye Jin (BinJin), stars of the hit 2019 K-drama Crash Landing on You. When they confirmed their IRL romance in 2021, got married, and had a child together, it broke the Internet. And now recently, K-drama fans have been rooting for another on-screen couple with the same palpable chemistry and, hopefully, the same romantic future. Moving stars Jo In Sung and Han Hyo Joo currently have the Internet on a chokehold and we can totally see why.

Jo In Sung and Han Hyo Joo’s chemistry in Moving

If you haven’t watched Disney+ original K-drama Moving, you’re missing out on easily one of the best K-dramas of 2023. Aside from a gripping plot, the action-packed drama also has sweet moments like the story of how In Sung (42) and Hyo Joo’s (38) characters – Kim Doo Sik and Lee Mi Hyun — fell in love. Their quiet romance was a welcome respite from all the action and had Moving fans smiling in kilig throughout.

Moving wasn’t the first time In Sung and Hyo Joo worked together. In fact, the pair have been friends for almost two decades now, starting as models for Korean clothing brand Crencia in 2005. Fans believe their years of friendship are the reason why they’re so comfortable with each other. And since both actors are currently single, many also believe that their foundation of friendship is enough reason for the pair to start dating IRL.

Even Moving staff want them to date

And it’s not just the fans that are obsessed with In Sung and Hyo Joo’s chemistry, even the K-drama’s staff seem to be pushing them together too. In an interview, it was revealed that Moving kissing scenes were filmed specifically on December 25, December 31, and January 1 a.k.a romantic days. When Hyo Joo asked the director why it was important to schedule the scenes on the said dates, the director simply said, “You guys are both single.”

In an episode of the Korean reality show Unexpected Business where In Sung and Hyo Joo were guests, the former reflected on their younger years working together. In the South Korean entertainment industry, it’s practice for older actors to take care of the younger or the newbies. In Sung felt like he didn’t help Hyo Joo as much or make her feel comfortable back then. He apologized to Hyo Joo for not being “mature enough” and for unintentionally “hurting her.”

“I don’t think I was nice to her when I was younger. I wasn’t mature enough. Now that I’m older, I think about it. I think I might have hurt her at that time,” said In Sung.

He’s certainly making up for it. During Moving’s media junket, In Sung often gushes about how Hyo Joo is the perfect partner (hopefully off-screen too!).

In a handful of interviews, it seems In Sung would always either talk about Hyo Joo, be on the lookout for her, or incessantly tease her. In the Harper’s Bazaar Korea Q&A video above, for instance, when In Sung kept saying Hyo Joo is so pretty, the police should be after her. Classic lines, In Sung.

Or this one where they were asked what they would’ve become if they weren’t celebrities and In Sung simply said Hyo Joo was destined to be a celebrity because she’s naturally beautiful:

With all these cute and sweet instances, it’s understandable that the Internet is going feral over the “JoJoo” couple. Countless edits have spawned on TikTok and X (formerly Twitter) where fans dissect the pair’s interactions (and probably are lighting candles in hopes they will pull a BinJin and surprise us).
