Dasurv Ko To: 8 Lines Pinoys Love to Say to Justify Their Gastos

When we were kids, we threw tantrums to persuade our parents to buy us the toys we wanted. But times have changed. Now that we’re adults, nothing’s stopping us from blowing our hard-earned money on an unlimited list of items to “heal our inner child.” It’s the sort of gastos that’s valid, IMHO.
But even though the purchase might be 10 times more satisfying since you know you worked hard for it, there will always be that one person who will ask you every time: “Do you really need to buy that?” Here are 8 things Pinoys say to defend their purchase:
When that friend says, “You don’t need that!” the most classic rebuttal would be: “Sale naman.” It’s difficult to resist a markdown, especially on items you’ve been eyeing for long. Most of us won’t buy expensive things regularly, but when they suddenly go on sale, we grab the opportunity, thinking we saved money. But did we really?
“Birthday ko naman…” two months ago. We either extend celebrations or bring up long-forgotten achievements to feel like we deserve that thing. From a gastos enabler to another, I’m telling you you deserve everything by waking up every day. So, go check-out those items in your cart!
This part of the list needs some math (because we’re brainy like that). For example, if you think your dream shoes are too pricey at PHP 6,000, try to divide it by 365 (the total number of days in a year). Then, it’s just barely PHP 17 per day! This is a classic tactic for people wanting to spend money on a hefty purchase.
It’s all about the mindset! We all work hard at our jobs to sustain our needs, but it never hurts to reward yourself occasionally. Having the motivation to keep going (like splurging and spoiling yourself) can push us to do better at work. You’ll earn the money you spent soon enough, anyway.
We are fully aware that there are unnecessary things we want. But, as smart people, we can think of thousands of excuses just to feel like we need that item. If you don’t have that shade of lipstick yet or that pretty keychain, then this is your sign that you NEED to buy those!
Nothing matches that cathartic feeling when you finally find what you’ve been looking for, then you should definitely grab the opportunity to purchase it. You’ll never know when you’ll see it again, right?
Why hold back from spending if the money you have is yours? As long as your salary comes from a moral job, then you should never feel guilty about buying things for yourself.
Believe it or not, there are still people who seldom do online shopping or go to malls. But when they do, they tend to go all out. But if your definition of minsan is every other day, that might be a problem.
How do you justify your gastos?
