Krispy Kreme recently announced the winners for their raffle promo 86 OG Holiday Giveaways, which included a variety of prizes including a month’s worth of donuts and coffee supplies, a trip to Korea, an iPad, and an iPhone 14.

Among the 86 winners, there was a name that stood out: a certain Lissa Soberano, who scored an iPhone 14 for free and whose name is two letters away from that of actress Liza Soberano.

The explanation

After the post went viral, Krispy Kreme responded to the numerous comments regarding the winner. According to their official Facebook page, the winner isn’t Liza Soberano. They just have a similar name.

“The winner announced is not related to the artist who holds a similar name,” Krispy Kreme wrote. “She’s one of our OG cardholders who happens to share a name alike with hers.”
