Viral Yogurt Bardagulan: Here’s What Really Happened

You probably didn’t expect that the last face-to-face bardagulan to go viral in 2023 would be over a cup of yogurt. Specifically, Llao Llao (pronounced /yow-yow/). Over the past year, Pinoys have been undoubtedly obsessed with the Spanish frozen yogurt franchise, enough to create long lines any time of day. But is it worth fighting over? On Christmas day, a video of a commotion in front of Robinsons Antipolo’s recently opened Llao Llao branch went viral for the most bizarre reason.

 

Fighting over Llao Llao

It wasn’t in anyone’s bingo cards but behold, it happened. An X user uploaded a short clip of the altercation with a hilarious caption: “Akala ko may proposal na ganap kaya may nag-hihiyawan, yun pala my nag-aaway because of Llao Llao. Kaloka.”

In the video, a security guard can be seen attempting to calm a person down. But if this angle isn’t enough for you, another trusty marites Pinoy took a much closer video of the squabble:

What’s weirder, the fact that grown adults are squabbling over yogurt or the fact that it seems so normal to automatically record the moment you’re in a fight?

 

Why the heck were they fighting over yogurt?

According to posts from people who witnessed the quarrel, folks have been lining up for over an hour to get their yogurt fix. Suddenly, a woman who was allegedly pregnant tried to cut in line. Those at the front initially understood but things got heated when people found out she was ordering for six people. The witness also added that the guy in the video was the pregnant woman’s uncle.

Moral of the story: Galitin niyo na ang lahat ‘wag lang ang may yogurt craving.

 

Hurtful words were thrown around all for the sake of yogurt

It might’ve been an ugly event but we have to admire the dedication of those involved. Other witnesses who went on X to recount what happened said that both parties started throwing insults at each other (presumably while licking their yogurt). Words like “bayot” and “taba,” something we Pinoys typically hear from judgemental titos and titas every holiday. Oh look at that, typical of Pinoys.

 

So who won this fight?

Obviously, it’s Llao Llao with the free PR. Everyone who hasn’t had the chance to try their frozen yogurt will now be questioning whether it’s that good.
