Check It Out: This New Pasig Hub Hosts Formula 1 Watch Parties and Sim Racing Competitions

Sep 13, 2024   •   Kyzia Maramara

Not to be dramatic, but Monza Barcade has quickly become one of my top spots in the city. Nestled in The View Deck at Arcovia, Pasig, this recently opened restaurant and racing hub is a dream come true for motorsport enthusiasts. The barcade’s recent Monza Grand Prix watch party cemented its rep as a haven for Formula 1 fans in the metro. Throughout the Monza GP weekend, attendees were treated to exclusive Monza-themed delights, including the popular Monza cheese balls. They even got to take home limited-edition Monza race track keychains as mementos of an action-packed weekend.

Whether you’re new to Formula 1 and eager to connect with fellow fans or a seasoned enthusiast seeking the closest experience to being trackside, Monza Barcade delivers. Here’s why this place is a must-visit for motorsport lovers:

It’s a one-stop shop for merch

Monza Barcade is a haven for Formula 1 merchandise. The minute you enter, you’ll be greeted by a merch corner displaying everything from team kits and special-edition hats to driver replica helmets and accessories. You don’t have to wait for weeks and months to get your order, you can get your fave team merch on the spot. And it’s all authentic, too, and sourced through Pregame Merch. Find them on Instagram!

There’s F1 all around

And I mean all around. Every corner of Monza Barcade screams Formula 1. Instagrammable team and driver decor, a glowing Monza track on the ceiling, tire tables, and podiums, display a great attention to detail. My favorite is the memorabilia mounted on two separate walls showcasing mini F1 cars, replica helmets, Lewis Hamilton’s gloves, and even a signed Max Verstappen photo! The bathroom decal that said “Smooth Operatoooor” has to be a close second favorite. IYKYK.

Experience the thrill of sim racing

Even if you’re not a gamer, you can try your hand at sim racing on Monza Barcade’s 16 professional-grade simulators. Choose your level, from easy/beginner to expert, and feel the rush as the seat vibrates with every crash. Playing a game is the closest thing we’ll probably ever get to being inside those glorious F1 cars or even being transported on track, so make sure you savor every minute of it! A round of sim racing is affordably priced, starting at P280+.

If you’re confident enough, Monza Barcade also hosts sim racing competitions where you can bang wheels with fellow Pinoy racing enthusiasts for a chance to win prizes.

Watch parties are more fun at Monza Barcade

It’s a thrilling experience to attend Monza Barcade watch parties. They hold viewing parties for qualifying and feature races depending on the race calendar and schedule. You get to join about a hundred passionate fans cheering for their favorite teams and drivers. And now that we have a proper title fight this year, each race gets even more exciting. Monza Barcade’s multiple LG premium screens make sure you get a great view from any table.

Here’s a helpful tip: Wear your favorite team’s kit for a chance to win a free drink when they win! And remember to book your table in advance, as watch parties fill up quickly.

Food that will fuel your passion

NGL, the delicious food was a pleasant surprise and a great way to fuel up after all the excitement. Monza Barcade boasts a delectable Italian-European fusion menu. Enjoy pizzas, pasta, and F1-themed cocktails (both alcoholic and non-alcoholic) and satisfy your sweet tooth with their carefully crafted dessert menu. Even on non-race days and weeks, just hanging out with your friends over a good meal at the barcade is enough to redeem even the most stressful weeks.

More to come: Watch out for future events at Monza Barcade

Kyzia spends most of her time capturing the world around her through photos, paragraphs, and playlists. She is constantly on the hunt for the perfect chocolate chip cookie, and a great paperback thriller to pair with it.
