Recently, the 2009 song “Never Forget You” by British indie rock band Noisettes is now part of a trend. The concept for the trend is simple — it’s about longing for a person, thing, or a feeling from the past that left a mark on you. As the Never Forget You TikTok trend ignites nostalgia, it’s now being used to look for childhood friends, crushes, and more. So if you’re thinking of someone from your past, maybe TikTok is the way to go.

The most attention-grabbing and kilig-worthy Filipino content in this trend is when TikTok user Julienne Karl Genove started searching for her long-lost childhood friend using only a few photos she had. It quickly went viral, and got plenty of (bogus) responses from guys claiming to be the little boy in the photos.
But eventually, fate found a way. And so, Julienne Karl found his childhood friend Kenneth. And then they became friends again like nothing separated them.
