There’s a New Japanese-Style Mayo in Town, and You Can Try It Through a Secret Menu Trail

Dec 19, 2025   •   8List Editor

If you think mayo is only for egg sandwiches and macaroni salad, Lady’s Choice begs to differ. With the launch of Lady’s Choice Japanese-Style Mayo, the brand is making a case for why mayo deserves a bigger role in your everyday cooking and eating, especially if you’re into richer, more umami-forward flavors.

They marked the launch of their newest product in true food-lover fashion—with a Japanese street–style food crawl that featured a secret menu to show just how versatile this new mayo can be. And even if you missed the launch night itself, you can still get in on the experience by rounding up your friends and trying the secret menu dishes around the city.

Here’s why foodies are already talking about this brand-new mayo in town:

This Japanese-style mayo works beyond the “usual” mayo dishes

From sushi bakes and sandos to karaage and rolls, the dishes featured throughout the launch highlighted what sets Lady’s Choice Japanese-Style Mayo apart. It keeps the creamy texture and balanced, malinamnam flavor the brand is known for, but adds a Japanese umami twist designed specifically for the Filipino palate. The result is a mayo that isn’t too salty, not too sour, and definitely not nakakaumay—making it easy to use as a sauce, dip, or finishing touch to both classic and unexpected dishes.

You can actually try it through a secret menu trail

If you want to taste it before stocking your fridge, Lady’s Choice partnered with Sushi Nori, Nikkei, Japonesa, and Taste & Tell for the #UmamiEats Trail—a limited-time secret menu featuring dishes made with the new Japanese-Style Mayo.

Each restaurant offers exclusive items, from sandos and rolls to fried bites, showcasing how the mayo elevates familiar Japanese flavors and Japanese-inspired Filipino comfort food. Just say “Make it Umami” when ordering to unlock the secret menu. Complete all four stops, collect stamps, and you can even score free Lady’s Choice Japanese-Style Mayo and exclusive merch.

The mayo that got a Japanese street-style Umamikase launch

To officially introduce Lady’s Choice Japanese-Style Mayo, the brand kicked things off with an invite-only Umamikase Experience at Baked Studios, transforming the venue into a Japanese night market–meets–omakase setup. Guests enjoyed a 12-course tasting menu created with four Japanese fusion favorites—Sushi Nori, Nikkei, Japonesa, and Taste & Tell—each dish designed to show how the new mayo can instantly level up a wide range of flavors.

Adding to the buzz was Anthony Constantino, the newest face of Lady’s Choice Japanese-Style Mayo, who joined top food creators and lifestyle influencers for the launch night.

Between the open kitchens, Japanese street-style photo spots, and nonstop plates coming out, the launch perfectly introduced the product as a pantry staple for everyday upgrading, not just special occasions.

So if you’re the type who’s always chasing the next food trend or just want a new way to make everyday dishes taste less basic, Lady’s Choice Japanese-Style Mayo is the perfect pantry upgrade. It is now available in leading supermarkets nationwide.
